Welcome to my website! My name is Teresa Elliott and I have been teaching in the Santee School District for over twenty-five years. Before coming to Santee I taught Special Education. I have worked with hearing impaired students and with severely handicapped students. I have a Master's Degree in reading and educational technology. I have also been trained in the Writer's Workshop method at Columbia University Teacher's College in New York City. I am a positive, energetic person, and I want what's best for your child. I am married to a fellow (substitute) Santee teacher (Mr. Rick Elliott) and together we have two children. Randy, our oldest, has worked in local radio and at NBC7 channel 39. He is currently a senior at SDSU majoring in Journalism and Media Advertising. We have an eight-year-old daughter, Tommi. She loves animals and gymnastics. We have two small pooches that protect us from NOTHING!! hahaha. In our spare time we love to camp, fish, and travel. I look forward to getting to know my students and their families each year and many remain friends for life. I live in the Santee community and not only am I a teacher in the district, but I am also a neighbor.
